About the college
Kongu Engineering College, one of the foremost multi professional research-led Institution is an internationally recognized leader in professional and career-oriented education. It provides an integral, interdisciplinary education - a unique intersection between theory and practice, passion and reason. Affiliated to Anna University Chennai, the college has completed more than three decades of dedicated service to the people of India and abroad in the field of Technical & Management Education. The Institution has an area of 167 acres of land richly endowed with beautiful greeneries. The college with its state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities and excellent academic records has earned recognition as one of the reputed educational institutions for men and women in India. The college is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade. In the survey conducted by MHRD (NIRF-2018), the institution is placed at the 2nd rank in Tamilnadu and 5th rank at National level among all self-financing colleges. In the same survey, the institution has bagged 68th rank among all Engineering institutions in India including premier institutions like IITs, NITs, etc.
About the Department
Right from its inception in the year 1994, the School of Management Studies at Kongu Engineering College
offers the MBA Programme which is highly rated for its excellence, both in terms of imparting state of the art management education and inculcating social values to the students of the MBA programme. The MBA programme is tailored meticulously keeping in mind the industry dynamics and ever changing economic scenario. The School of Management Studies is committed to transform MBA students into Contemporary business leaders, through sustained strategy of innovation, quality improvisation and value addition, there by significantly contributing to all the stakeholders and by extension to the whole of the society. The School of Management Studies is also recognized as a Research Centre for Ph.D. programme by Anna University Chennai. The department has won Gold medal from Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) consecutively for Three years (2015 - 2017) for its social responsibility activities conducted during AIMS National Management Week.
